Connect Zendesk to Wilph

Zendesk can be recorded as your current helpdesk. Importing its history into Wilph's Replay lab is not available yet.

Roughly how long
About 5 minutes
Who can do it
A Zendesk administrator.

Before you start

  • Your native your-company.zendesk.com account URL.
  • The email address of a verified agent.

Step by step

  1. Understand what this does today

Wilph's historical import needs Zendesk's OAuth flow, and that requires a public Wilph app that Zendesk has approved. Until it exists, saving these credentials records the connection but does not import anything.

If you want your history in Wilph today, export your mail and use the upload route in Dashboard → Replay instead. It needs no approval from anyone.

  2. Enable token access

In the Zendesk Admin Center go to Apps and integrations → Zendesk API, and turn on Token access.

  3. Add an API token

Choose Add API token, describe it as Wilph, and copy the value. Zendesk shows it once.

  4. Paste them into Wilph

In Wilph, open Dashboard → Integrations → Zendesk → Connect and save the account URL, the verified agent email and the token.

What Wilph asks for

The exact fields on the connection form, in order.

  • Zendesk account URL

Use the native .zendesk.com account URL.

  • Verified agent email

Zendesk authenticates API tokens as {email}/token.

  • API tokenStored encrypted

Private/internal connections may use a dedicated token. Wilph's public replay importer requires OAuth and does not use this field.

The token is encrypted before storage. The Replay import stays marked “OAuth required” until Wilph's public Zendesk app is approved.

If something goes wrong

The Replay import button is unavailable.

That is expected. It is blocked on Wilph's public OAuth app, not on anything wrong with your credentials.

You use a custom support domain.

Enter the native .zendesk.com URL. The API does not answer on a branded CNAME.
